The filter plates are porous filter structures made of cellulose fibers mixed with Kieselgur, pearlita and synthetic resins based on polyamide. The filter plates are generally consisting of various materials and shapes. The main materials used are: cellulose fibers (cotton fabrics, paper paste, diatomite (synonyms: infuser soil, silica, Kieselgur), and more recently pearlite.
