GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS

They are used in the bottling of fruity wines, which undergo aging in glass for medium periods. The 1 + 1 technical stops offer the sector high mechanical and sensory performances, homogeneity, precision and reliability when sealing. Like natural cork stoppers, the quality of 1 + 1 technical stops starts in choosing the best raw material, allowing to obtain cork granules and cork discs with a high degree of purity. The cork granules are subjected to the AdvanTECH disinfection system, which allows the removal of tannins and volatile organic compounds from the cork. In parallel, the process of disinfecting individual disks - DEO - ensures their deep disinfection. Its ultimate goal is to get harmless cork in sensory terms.

All production processes are carefully monitored and controlled in order to obtain a very efficient sealing solution, which ensures high organoleptic and mechanical characteristics.

COMPOSITION

This type of corks are obtained from natural materials as well as the other categories that António Almeida Cortiças' company produces. The difference is that the pores are covered with cork powder resulting from the manufacturing process. To fix the powder in the pores, use a natural glue based on resin and natural rubber.
