Fibrafix AF

AF plates are deep filter plates used to remove liquid particles. Thus, liquids can be clarified, cleaned or sterilized. For a deep filtration, filters with an average thickness of 2.4 mm-4.5 mm are required.

The particles are retained using two filtration principles: surface filtration and deep filtration. The liquid flows through a three-dimensional network of asymmetric fibers in the depth filter. Solid components are retained using mechanical and electrokinetic effects. This significantly increases the absorption capacity. The purpose of a filtration process is to produce either a liquid (filtered) or a solid product (retained).

Depth filtration focuses mainly on the production of a filtered liquid product

How to use: FIBRAFIX AF filter plates must be moistened before being mounted in the filter.

In order to make the correct filtration, a pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet is necessary. When the pressure difference is greater than a given value (approx. 2 - 2.5 bar, depending on the porosity and application) the filters no longer work at their maximum capacity.

Through certain maintenance procedures it is possible that the filter plates can be reused. The plates can be sterilized with hot water (85 ° C) or steam (125 ° C).

The tiles are sold only in packages of 25 pieces
