GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS BENTONITE VINIFICATION

BEGRAN is a bentonite for sodium-activated granular vinification, obtained by a special process to allow the reaction. It is very easy to dissolve and manipulate, very high dispersion power, colloidal properties and therefore clarification efficiency (high deproteinization).

BEGRAN produces a decrease in polyphenol oxidase (tyrosinase, etc.) and a reduction in the risks of protein and copper. Due to its microporous structure it has a very fast swelling capacity in water (30 - 50%), with a much smaller piece formation than the dusty version.

USAGE CONDITIONS

Disperse in cold or room temperature in a ratio of 1:10, stirring vigorously to a homogeneous suspension. Leave to "swell" for a few hours (minimum 6 to 12 hours). Mix again and add the volume to be treated.

DOSAGE BENTONITE VINIFICATION

40 - 80 g / hl for musts and wines.

It is recommended to perform preliminary laboratory tests, verification of deproteinization (bentotest) and discoloration (DO420 and Do520). Also perform an organoleptic test.

COMPOSITION

• Montmorillonite clay (bentonite): 80-90%;
• Compounds derived from silica: 0 - 20%.

PACKING

Packages of 1 and 25 kg.
